Jeff has been a real estate appraiser for over 35 years, during which he has developed expertise in numerous property types and market areas. He has served as a director of the Appraisal Institute; president of the organization’s Northern California Chapter; chairperson for the chapter’s Education and Courses Committees; a member of the General Experience Review Committee; and a speaker at Institute seminars and workshops on report writing, training appraisal researchers, using technology in appraisals, social media networking, data confirmation and verification, and various “expert” topics. Other speaking engagements have included guest lecturing at local Bay Area colleges and universities, events hosted by The Counselors of Real Estate, and several media outlets. Jeff has chaired Institute seminars on appraisal arbitration and assessment and Mello-Roos bond financing, and has also served as a director of the International Center for Valuation Certification, and as a trustee for the Appraisal Institute Education Trust.
